Transdev John Holland Buses Term 2 2026
Opal Card Compliance
In collaboration with Transport for NSW and based on a review of Opal data, we identified that on average, our buses carry less than 3 students to and from your school each day. This low level of usage is a concern, as it may lead to future adjustments or reallocation of services to areas with higher demand.
We currently have Authorised Officers on board services supporting students and reinforcing the important of travelling with a valid School Opal card. This is a great opportunity to reinforce the topic of Opal card compliance and positive travel etiquette.
We encourage your school to speak to your parents / caregivers to remind your students to tap on and off every trip. Doing so ensures accurate travel data is captured, which plays an important role in maintaining and supporting ongoing bus services for your school community. Students who board bus services can Apply for a school travel pass or School Opal card | transportnsw.info website.
Travel Etiquette
Finally, students travelling on school or public route buses are advised to follow the Student Code of Conduct. We strongly encourage students to travel safely and be considerate of all passengers.
