A very warm welcome back to school as we launch into Term 2!
ANZAC Day Service
We began the term by gathering as a community for a moving ANZAC Day service which honoured the service and sacrifice of those who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
At the conclusion of the service, I spoke with our community about a fresh start and opportunities for growth. Drawing on the themes of the service, I asked our girls to reflect on the legacy of the ANZACs: a legacy that encourages us to think beyond ourselves, care deeply, and act with integrity. I reminded the girls that when they stand up for someone who is being treated unfairly - that’s courage. When they include someone who feels left out - that’s mateship. When they persist through challenges - that’s resilience. I concluded by asking the girls to reflect on what these values can look like in their own lives.

Uniform
I also spoke with the girls about College expectations regarding our uniform. I mentioned that our uniform is a sign of our collective identity and signifies the pride we have in our school.
It is imperative that parents support the College in promoting a positive image for our school. Each student is not only expected to wear the College uniform, but ensure it is neat and acknowledge the appropriate behaviour whilst wearing it. The College blazer is a compulsory part of the winter uniform and must be worn when travelling to and from school.
Pastoral Care Teachers will be issuing demerits to girls who do not adhere to these expectations.

Opal Card Compliance
In collaboration with Transport for NSW and based on a review of Opal data, we have been told that on average, buses servicing our College carry less than 3 students to and from our school each day. This low level of usage is a concern as it may lead to future adjustments or reallocation of services to areas with higher demand. In order to ensure adequate school buses, girls are reminded to tap on and off when using public bus services.
Additionally, students travelling on school or public route buses are advised to follow the Student Code of Conduct.
