Music Night – A Celebration of Talent and Dedication

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported St Norbert College’s Music Night, a wonderful evening celebrating the incredible talent, hard work, and dedication of our music students.

The night featured exceptional performances from all of our College ensembles, including the Jazz Band, Chorale, Guitar Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble, String Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Liturgical Choir, as well as our Contemporary Bands and Certificate III Music Bands. It was a night of proud moments, as students brought to life the music they’ve been practising throughout the year in front of a live audience.

A huge thank you to our amazing Arts staff for making the evening possible:

  • Tania Harvey (Arts Administrator) – Front of House

  • Karen Cassidy – Backstage support

  • Jan Malski – Event photography

  • Jennifer Rigg – Lighting operation

  • And to Jenny Palermo, Melda Lim, Tracey La Vanda, Jaime Paulin, and Karen Magee for their generous help around the Centre

Your contributions were instrumental in creating such a memorable evening for our students and families.

Studio Recording with Certificate III Music Students

This week, our Certificate III in Music bands had the exciting opportunity to visit Vision Studios to record their original compositions.

  • Our Year 11 band, Gamble on a Setlist, wrote and recorded a heartfelt Coldplay-inspired ballad, which they will perform later this year at SoNiC Music Fest.

  • Our Year 12 band, Reconnected, composed a touching graduation song, set to be performed at the Graduation Assembly in Term 4.

Students enjoyed the process of recording in a professional environment, learning to refine their performances and work collaboratively to capture the perfect take.

A big thank you to John at Vision Studios for his support and expertise in producing our students’ recordings. This was an invaluable experience for our young musicians!
