Futsal World Cup 

Frenzy! ⚽🌍 

Game on! Our Middle and Senior Primary students brought the World Cup to life with two action-packed Futsal Days run by Caro Futsal. With epic goals, team chants, and loads of energy, the courts were buzzing all day!

Students proudly represented countries from around the world, showing fantastic teamwork and skill. The excitement peaked during the penalty shootouts, with the Senior Primary final coming down to a thrilling shootout finish! 🥅🔥

A huge shoutout to Caro Futsal for an unforgettable two days—what a tournament! 🏆🎉

Student reflections:

Today was the day, the day we had all been waiting for!  

As I stepped onto the court, my heart beating, my legs wobbling like jelly, I could feel the adrenalin pumping through my body like a raging river. I knew it was time. My teammates and I were ready! The referee blew his whistle, and we leapt into action! I got the ball, passed it straight to Eli and we started the play! A couple of passes, a shot, and a goal! 

We start our celebration - sweat streaming, and then I looked over my shoulder to see someone is steaming through the defence ready for a shot and then it happens! One of my teammates jumps and gets the ball off him (quite miraculously). He runs and gets ready for another shot on goal! But unfortunately, this time he misses. We’re ready though and were just in time for the second touch! The whistle blows one final time my teammates swarm me as the room fills with cheers!

As my teammate kicks the last goal with 5 seconds to spare, I watch as I am on sub! The goalkeeper tries to defend the goal, the ball goes flying into the net...we are all cheering as we won and go into FINALS!
