Year 6 Billy Cart Race

The Year 6 Billy Cart Race was a wonderful celebration of creativity, teamwork, and community spirit! As part of the SALT Program (Senior Primary Active Learning), students were taken through the process of designing, building, and then racing their billy carts.
They demonstrated what it means to be true Community Builders by working collaboratively, encouraging one another, and sharing ideas to achieve a common goal.
The teams embodied Purposeful Learning, by showing persistence and learning how to problem-solve at every stage of the project. From the first sketches to the final race, it was amazing to see their dedication, enthusiasm, and pride in their work.
Race day was filled with excitement, cheering, and friendly competition, as they showcased their named creations.
Congratulations to our winning teams and all Year 6 students for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship displayed!
A special thank you to our Maintenance Team for assisting with tools and craftsmanship, and to everyone who turned this event into another core memory for our students!
