🎉 Kempsey High Shines at Lower North Coast Athletics Carnival! 🎉
Our Kempsey High athletes did us proud at the recent Lower North Coast Athletics Carnival in Port Macquarie, putting in some amazing performances across the track and field.
Wade Thomas gave his all in the 13 years boys Long Jump and Discus.
Savannah Cronin had a huge program, picking up 2nd in the 800m and an incredible 1st place in the 1500m! She also competed strongly in the sprints, jumps and javelin.
Tyrell Howe ran with determination, placing 3rd in the 800m and 4th in the 400m for the 14 years boys.
Decklan Buckley was a star of the carnival, finishing 3rd in the 100m, 2nd in the 200m, 5th in the 400m, and taking out 1st in the Long Jump. His Long Jump win meant he progressed to the Region Carnival where he went one better – qualifying for the State Championships in Sydney this September! 🌟
Shayla Cronin dominated the middle-distance events in the 16 years girls, with 1st in the 400m, 800m and 1500m! She also had great results across sprints, jumps and throws.
Breeanna Horne showed her versatility, claiming 2nd in the Discus, 3rd in the 800m, 4th in the 400m and Javelin, plus top placings in sprints, Long Jump and Shot Put.
👏 A massive congratulations to all our athletes for representing Kempsey High with courage, energy and school spirit. Special good luck to Decklan Buckley as he heads to the NSW State Championships – the whole school is behind you! 💙💛
By a very proud Team Manager.
