3/4 Waratah Beach Camp Interview

Mika 

I was happy when we arrived because the bus ride gave me motion sickness. I loved the night-time campfire and also the flying fish rope swing. One of my favourite things to do on camp was sleep! 

The food wasn’t that great except for the oranges, which I devoured at snack time.

I enjoyed sharing a cabin with my friends - May, Sen, Maya, Tami, Grace, Mila & Adele.

Overall, it was a pretty great trip.

Levi 

The night walk was one of my favourite things to do at camp!  That night, we also got to sit around the campfire and toast marshmallows - an excellent start to the 3-day trip.

The next day, we went to the beach and looked at plants and animals, taking in the beautiful scenery as we walked.

My favourite activity was The Giant Swing - I love heights! - the Aero Ball coming a close second.

The food was good - lasagna was No. 1! 

I also enjoyed chatting to my friends at night. Owen, Yuta, Baxter, Kaito, Milo, Leo P, Siraj and Riaan were all in my cabin, which was nice but the shower didn't lock properly.

All in all, it was so fun!

It was a long 3hr drive, though I enjoyed the passing scenery. The food wasn’t that great, so it’s hard to pick a favourite. Not needing to cook was relaxing though. 

My favourite activity was the beach treasure hunt!

I also loved the campfire where we roasted marshmallows. The night walk presented tough conditions though - it was pitch black and pouring with rain!

I was in a private cabin and sleep came easily with the heaters that were provided.

Altogether, it was a pretty cool experience.
