Elke - winning design for the production poster

It was hard at first because we didn't know who the main characters would be played by, and I couldn't remember all of the scenes. I decided to do some sketches and I drew four people. And when I was sketching it my brother spilled water on it. Thankfully by the time I did my final copy I knew who the actors would be. There were a few days left and I felt a bit nervous and I was worried my design wasn't good enough. 

I have a mirror on my desk and I use myself as a reference, which is how I came up with the faces and their expressions. When I came to do the colour I always use purple first because it is my favourite colour. I went with colours that I like! 

When I found out I won the design competition all my friends were excited and I was in shock. I felt my face getting red. But I felt really proud.

I'm really looking forward to the production. I am playing a monkey. I've had fun rehearsing.
