Greenvale Goes Green

Greenvale Primary School was buzzing with excitement during our whole-school Greenvale Goes Green Day. Students took part in a range of hands-on activities focused on sustainability, science and caring for our environment. Student voice and agency played an important role in shaping the day, with each year level using students’ ideas to help plan meaningful and engaging activities. It was wonderful to see students enthusiastically creating, investigating and learning together, including finding new ways to reuse recycled materials.

We were also delighted to welcome parents and families who joined their children and became involved in the activities.

One parent shared: “Greenvale Goes Green was such a fun day of creativity and sustainability! I loved crafting alongside our students as they transformed recycled materials into something new—from bird feeders and potted plants to colourful CDs that created a beautiful mural. It was wonderful to see their creativity, teamwork and care for our environment come to life!”

A big thank you to our staff, students, families and the Learner Agency SAT for helping make Greenvale Goes Green Day such a success. The enthusiasm across the school was fantastic and showed what we can achieve when our community works together.

Please enjoy some photos from this wonderful day!
