Year 7 Basketball

The Year 7 Girls Basketball competition was held on the 6th of November at Selkirk Stadium in Ballarat, bringing together schools from across the region for an exciting day of teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship. The event provided a great opportunity for the girls to showcase their talent and passion for basketball in a supportive and energetic environment. Throughout the day, teams competed in a series of fast-paced matches, demonstrating strong teamwork, communication, and determination on the court.

The Year 7 girls team played in Pool B, where they showed excellent effort and teamwork throughout their games. They managed to win one of their matches and lost the other, which placed them second in their pool. This meant they went on to play against the second-place team from Pool A in the playoff match. The girls put in a strong performance and worked hard right until the final whistle, securing third place overall in the competition. It was a fantastic effort from the whole team, who represented their school with pride and enthusiasm.

Year 8 Tennis

Last Friday, our Year 8 Girls and Boys Tennis Teams travelled to Ballarat for an exciting day of competition against teams from Trinity College, Mount Clear College, Emmanuel College, and Ballarat College, all playing for a chance to progress to the State Championships in Melbourne.

Both teams represented our school with pride, enthusiasm, and fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day.

Our Year 8 Girls were on fire, winning all their sets and securing their place at the State Championships! Their teamwork, determination, and positive energy on and off the court were a joy to watch.

Our year 8 Boys also put in a brilliant effort, starting the day with a great win in their first match. Although they went down in the remaining games, they showed amazing resilience, great tennis skills, and wonderful team spirit all the way through.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parent Helpers for driving, supporting, and cheering on the teams — we truly appreciate everything you do to make these days possible!

Well done to all our players — you’ve done our school proud! Best of luck to the girls as they head to Melbourne for the State Championships!
