HeadStart starts needs week for students completing Year 12 subjects in 2026.
HeadStart is the first two weeks of Year 12 classes, it is not an optional 2 weeks of classes to get ahead.
Missing HeadStart means missing significant for your units. If missed, you’ll be expected to spend term one working through work while trying to catchup on what was missed. This is challenging and we’d recommend students avoid this.
Teachers will often give an overview of Unit 3 and 4 to set you up for success and delivering key knowledge and language relevant to course. Some classes will provide students with holiday homework or will task students with developing ideas for their projects.
No textbooks are required for HeadStart just an exercise book, device and something to write with. Teachers will let students know if they need additional equipment.
Please reach out to Year 11 Coordinators if you have any questions.
