Boarders' Buzz

Welcome back to Term 3! And what an exciting and very busy term we have in front of us! But, before we get into Term 3, I would like to acknowledge our end of Term 2 award winners!
Ronniesha Tanami won our Boarder of the Term as she met all our expectations in the boarding house. She works hard in prep and Polly Farmer, she is a star player in the Giants U13 netball team and often steps up to the U15 team as well. She would have to have the cleanest room in the boarding house as well. She always has a smile on her face and loves a good yarn! Congratulations Ronniesha!
Jessica France won our Most Improved Boarder of the Term. Jessica has come a long way with how she interacts with staff, she is also a star player on the Giants U15 netball team. She has worked hard in keeping her room neat and tidy and she always gives it her best during prep, and seeks help from the tutors when needed. Well done Jessica.
Desmond Dodd won our Kindness award for Term 2. Desmond always has a smile on his face and is always looking out for others! Desmond often volunteers to help out with rec room duties and dishwashing duties when other boarders are away at sports trainings etc. Good on ya Desmond!
Letrell Rubuntja won our Good Mate award for Term 2 for always getting involved in boarding activities. Letrell is well respected by all his peers, whether it’s a Year 12 or Year 7. Letrell can be seen playing basketball or kicking a footy almost everyday afterschool with other boarders. Congratulations Letrell!
Now back onto Term 3! It has been a busy start already, with all our Year 9s out on camp and our Year 10s are down at Mittagundi, so it has been relatively quiet around the boarding house!
We have lots happening over the next few weeks, with our boarders volunteering at the Old Timers Fete where we will be doing some face painting and cooking pancakes! We also hope to get an entry into the Henley on the Todd event! Winter sports are back up and running again with footy, soccer, netball, boxing and rugby league.
We also welcomed Tom Doyle, who is a new Year 11 boarder starting this term. Tom has spent the last 6 months at an international boarding school in China!
