SPC - Named in Top 100 Private Schools in Australia

We are proud to announce that St Philip’s has been ranked among the Top 100 private schools in Australia, out of thousands of institutions nationwide.

This recognition is especially meaningful given our unique position as one of the most remote schools on the list, and with some of the lowest school fees of any school included. Despite these factors, St Philip’s continues to deliver academic excellence and a wide range of opportunities for all students.

The list, published by News Corp, assessed schools on a variety of measures, including:

  • Academic performance (NAPLAN and ATAR results across year levels)
  • Student–teacher ratios
  • School fees, funding, and socio-economic context
  • Facilities, with bonus points for pools, theatres, and specialist centres
  • Subject breadth, including niche and specialty offerings
  • Co-curricular programs, especially in leadership and culture
  • Sporting opportunities, including high-performance and specialist sports programs

To be recognised as one of the Top 3 private schools in the Northern Territory, and among the Top 100 nationwide, is a testament to the dedication, talent, and tireless efforts of our incredible teachers and staff.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our students and families for their continued support of the College’s mission—first envisioned by our founder, Rev Dr Fred McKay —to make high-quality education accessible to children in remote and rural areas across Australia.
