Student Leadership

Dear Saltwater Community,

This term marks the beginning of our student-led club initiative, an idea sparked by our leaders’ vision to give students more opportunities to follow their interests and share their talents with others. 

Student leaders from Years 5 and 6 will run the clubs with the support of JSC members, and our dedicated staff members, ensuring each club has both student creativity and adult guidance.

Some highlights so far:

Clubs are already proving to be a hit, with strong attendance and lots of positive feedback from students.

Leadership in Action

Our leaders have shown initiative by:

• Designing club timetables and setting clear expectations.
• Communicating announcements during assemblies.
• Welcoming new participants and making activities inclusive for all.
• Working closely with their adult mentors to ensure activities are safe, engaging, and well-organised.

This is not only building a stronger school culture but also giving our leaders real-world experience in organisation, teamwork, and problem-solving.
