Attitudes to School Survey

The Attitudes to School Survey is an annual student survey offered by the Department of Education to assist schools in gaining an understanding of students' perceptions and experiences of school. Students will be asked about their thoughts and feelings about their school, their learning, peer relationships, resilience, bullying, health & wellbeing, physical activity and life in general.

The survey only takes 20-30 minutes to complete online and occurs during your child's class time, using a purpose-built secure online survey tool.

Participation in this survey is voluntary. If you DO NOT wish for your child to do the survey, please opt out via email to the school at kurnai.co@education.vic.gov.au before the survey commences on Monday 11th May. Personal identification data will not be recorded in the survey response file. This ensures that the confidentiality of your child's responses is protected at all times.

For further information, please refer to the attached information document from the Department of Education or contact your Campus Principal.

If an order was placed, students will have received their school photos by now.

Leading Image School Photos provides a "second chance" ordering process for school photos, often distributed via "second chance bookmarks" after initial photos are delivered.  These include your child’s unique access key, which is valid online for 6 months, giving plenty of time to place an order online.

Please note: When ordering via the second-chance system, your order may incur a postage cost, as it will be posted directly to your nominated address after the initial school-wide distribution.

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) helps eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.

If you have a valid means-tested concession card, or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. Means-tested concession cards must be valid on the first day of Term 1 (28 January 2026) or Term 2 (20 April 2026).

A student aged 16 years and over who is considered a mature minor and holds a valid concession card is also eligible to apply.

Eligible families will receive a payment of  $256 per year for secondary school students. The funds will be paid directly to the school to be used towards camps, sports and excursion costs for the benefit of your child.

If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

If you would like to apply for the first time, please contact the school office on (03) 5165 0600 and ask for an application form or download the form from the PDF link attached below. Please return completed application forms to the school office as soon as possible. Applications are due back to the General Office by Friday, 19th of June, as applications close at the end of Term 2.
