Women of STEM Scholarships 2026Scholarships for women aged 18 - 20, who are commencing an applicable** STEM related degree in 2026.

 

These scholarships are to -

  1. INSPIRE high school girls to select subjects in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics
  2. GROW future university educational opportunities for women in science, technology, engineering and math.
  3. PROMOTE advanced STEM professional and management careers and celebrate the STEM career achievements of Australian women and make a social impact.
  4. PROVIDE financial support for women from diverse backgrounds, independent of any political, economic, religious or social framework.

     

For the purposes of this scholarship, the scope of STEM is defined as Australian University degrees within the following discipline categories: 

 

  • SCIENCE: Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, and Environmental Science
  • TECHNOLOGY: Computer Science, Information Technology, and Software Disciplines
  • ENGINEERING: Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Civil and Robotic Engineering
  • MATHEMATICS: Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics

     

Awardees receive financial grants of $5,000 per year for the life of their degree (maximum of 5 years).

 

Applications for 2026 Women of STEM Scholarships open on Thursday 18 December 2025 and close on Friday 6 February 2026.

  • Hospitality Essentials for School Leavers

Are you ready to explore the exciting world of hospitality?  Hospitality Essentials is a hands-on 3-day short course designed for school leavers who want to build confidence, learn essential skills and get a foot in the door.  This engaging and hands-on short course is the perfect way to build a student’s confidence and gain the essential skills employers are looking for.  Across these three practical and interactive days, students will earn nationally accredited certifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Safe Food Handling—key qualifications for working in cafés, restaurants, bars, and events.  Students will also develop real-world experience in coffee making and barista service, learning how to prepare espresso-based drinks and operate commercial coffee machines. Designed to be accessible and supportive, this course requires no prior experience—just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.  Whether participants are looking for a casual job or planning a long-term career in hospitality, this course will give them the tools to succeed and stand out in a competitive industry.

Narrm Scholarship Program

This scholarship provides financial, wellbeing, academic and career support to eligible Access Melbourne students.  

 

As a Narrm Scholar, students receive financial assistance, as well as get to participate in an enrichment program that includes academic, career and wellbeing support, so they can thrive at university and beyond. To be eligible to be considered for the Narrm Scholarship, students must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent visa and completed Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate in Australia.  Students who have applied for Access Melbourne through VTAC (SEAS) will automatically be considered for a Narrm Scholarship.
