Pop Up Library
Due to exams, we have been in Pop Up Library mode for the last three weeks. It is a pretty cosy set up in the Year 8 corridor and we even celebrated Halloween with a spooky display that some Year 11s helped me with. Students have adjusted well to picking up their book and laptop loans and coming in here to study for their upcoming assessments and exams. A reminder that the whole library collection is available to borrow from, you just need to reserve online! When you receive an email saying that your book is ready to collect, just come by the Pop Up Library in Room 7 to pick it up.
Staff Book Club
At our last Staff Book Club meeting, we discussed Travels with my Aunt by Graham Greene. We had a great turn out and as always, lively discussion ensued! We ended up chatting about all different books, including The City and the City, The Mushroom Tapes, The Names and The Trees. I didn’t realise until I wrote them all down that they all begin with the word ‘the’. Well there you go! I love (and hate) that I always leave these meetings with a longer to-be-read list!
