Hurstville Public School Turns 150 in 2026!
Next year marks an incredible milestone â 150 years of Hurstville Public School. Since opening its doors in 1876, our school has grown and evolved alongside the Hurstville community, shaping generations of learners and families.
Â
To honour this moment in our history, our staff, students, and parent community have begun planning a series of celebrations, legacy projects, and community events that will recognise the people, stories, and spirit that have made Hurstville PS what it is today.
Â
Our first planning sessions have already generated some exciting ideas â from a community festival, parade of decades, community engagement intiatives, and alumni event, to student legacy projects and a whole-school spectacular. Over the coming months, weâll continue developing these ideas through sub-committees involving staff parents, community and students.
Â
Weâd love for our wider community to be part of this journey. If you have a broader connections to Hurstville Public School through past students, staff members, or parents, or if you would like to help celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime milestone, weâd love to hear from you.
