Stage 2 News

Year 3
Our Year 3 students have been working incredibly hard this year to develop their technology skills, and we are so proud of the progress they have made. Throughout the term, they have explored a range of digital tools with growing confidence and creativity. One of the highlights has been their fantastic work in Canva, where students have learned how to design engaging presentations, use layout and formatting features, and creatively showcase their learning across different subjects. They have also taken great pride in publishing their written work digitally, demonstrating not only improved ICT capability but also a strong sense of ownership and pride in the final product. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they experiment with colour, images, and typography to bring their ideas to life. Their achievements this term reflect both their dedication and their growing ability to communicate effectively using technology—skills that will continue to support their learning in the years ahead.
Year 4
Year Four students have recently read an amazing book called “ Fire” by Jackie French. It is full of descriptive language and imagery.
As a class task, students in 4F, had to write a descriptive paragraph about a scene involving a bushfire. Set out below, is a wonderful piece of writing by Charlie Shi.
“ A fierce bushfire swept through the small town, and its flames began to obliterate everything in its path. The beautiful houses were devastated by the intense heat. The fire wrecked the community, leaving people without homes. Trees and gardens were in ruins and the once green landscape was turned to ash.”
