Years 8 and 10 Subject Selection Information Evening on Monday 10 August 2026 

On Monday, 10 August, Boorowa Central School will host a Subject Selection Information Evening from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm in the library for parents and students currently in Years 8 and 10.The purpose of the evening is to outline the subject selection process and explain Department of Education requirements regarding patterns of study. It will also be an opportunity for you and your child to speak directly with Faculty Leaders and our Careers Adviser about the subjects on offer for 2027.It is important that students attend this evening with their parents or carers to help make informed choices about their future pattern of study; choices that can support higher results and greater satisfaction with their academic journey.In the days following, individual subject teachers will provide additional information to students during an hour throughout the school day. This will reinforce and clarify details included in the Subject Selection Booklet and allow students to ask any further questions.The evening will be structured as follows:

• 6.00 pm – 6.45 pm: Year 8 into Year 9 Subject Selection presentation

• 6.45 pm – 7.30 pm: Year 10 into Year 11 Subject Selection presentation
