From the Deputy

Subject Selection Evening – Monday 10 August
Subject Selection Evening will be held in the school library on Monday 10 August for students in Years 8 and 10 and their families.
The Year 8 session will run from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm and will provide information about selecting elective subjects for Years 9 and 10.
The Year 10 session will be held from 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm and will outline the HSC courses available, along with important information about the Record of School Achievement (RoSA) and Higher School Certificate (HSC) requirements.
The evening is designed to provide students and families with the information they need to make informed decisions about future subject selections.
Nominations for Secondary School Captains
Mr Jones and I were privileged to interview outstanding students who have nominated for the 2027 School Captain positions. Both nominees were able to confidently articulate their vision for leadership, how they plan to make a positive impact on our school, and the legacy they hope to leave.
They will present their leadership speeches to the secondary student body at the Week 6 Tuesday assembly (25.8.26). We look forward to hearing their ideas and wish them both the very best.
An excellent start to the term
It has been another fantastic week of learning at school. Students have demonstrated sustained focus in their classrooms, creating calm and productive learning environments across the school this term.
We have also enjoyed some fun and creativity through our Book Week celebrations, with students and staff dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing their enthusiasm for reading.
A special mention goes to our Year 12 students, who are now only two weeks away from sitting their Trial HSC exams. We wish them all the best as they prepare and encourage them to continue their focused efforts.
Thank you to everyone for continuing to show our expectations of being respectful, responsible and participating in varied aspects across the school.
Ms Trudy Mahoney
Deputy Principal
