Year 7 Indonesian classes have been trying a range of Indonesian fruits. 7F enjoyed the exquisite mangosteen or manggis.
A prediction on the colour of the buah naga (dragon fruit) resulted in a fruit reveal and was enjoyed by all. Let’s see the jury’s verdict when we try durian next week!
Weddings, Parties, Anything!
Love is the air when the Year 11 Indonesian students staged their perkawinan (wedding) last Friday. C5 was transformed into a wedding reception hall and tamu (guests) from 7F and the senior German class congratulated the bride Ava and groom Hrehaan, along with their parents with a Selamat Berbahagia and brought gifts and money.
After a prayer from priest Jos, the guests were treated to entertainment from penyanyi (singer) Riley, dalang (puppeteer) Eric and all joined in for the poco-poco (dance). After the guests returned to their classes, the wedding party celebrated with a meal of nasi goreng and teh kotak.
Thank you to photographer Frau Nash for capturing the hari Istimewa (special day)!
