Leader of Year 11 Wellbeing 

Student Leadership 2026/7

Year 11 students began their leadership journey with a whole‑cohort assembly on Tuesday of Week 3, where the 2027 student leadership process was formally introduced. The assembly invited students to reflect on what leadership looks like at St Aloysius College and how they can contribute meaningfully to our community in their final year.

Following the assembly, students moved to the oval for a team‑building activity designed to spark collaboration, connection, and a sense of shared purpose. This practical experience encouraged them to step outside their comfort zone, take up opportunities as they arise, and work together as a united group. All key dispositions that will support them to make the most of Year 12.

Why leadership matters

Leadership at St Aloysius is grounded in three pillars: service, integrity, and community. Our Year 11 students already demonstrate these qualities through their contributions to wellbeing initiatives, academic focus, and support of younger students. The leadership process now invites them to deepen these strengths and consider how they can positively shape the College in 2027.

Our College motto, Jes Sui Prest (“I am ready”), sits at the heart of the Year 11 leadership journey. It reminds students that readiness is not about having every skill perfected, but about stepping forward with courage and conviction. I challenge our Year 11s to embrace this call: to step up, to take opportunities when they arise, and to trust that they are ready. Their willingness to act will define the spirit of the 2027 senior cohort.

As they prepare for their final year, students are encouraged to embrace opportunities, challenge themselves, and lead in ways that strengthen our College community.
