Junior Years Report

A Fantastic Start to Term 3 in the Junior Subschool!

Our Year 7 – 9 students have made a terrific start to Term 3, and we are incredibly proud of the positive way they have returned to learning.

It was a pleasure to celebrate our students' academic success at our End of Semester One Honours Evening on Wednesday night. An outstanding 191 students across Years 7–9 received an award for achieving 80% or higher in their assessments across one or more subjects during Semester One! This is a remarkable achievement and reflects the commitment and perseverance our students have shown throughout the semester. We would also like to sincerely thank our families for their ongoing encouragement and support, which plays such an important role in our students' success.

Our students continue to contribute to safe, calm and orderly learning environments through their excellent entry and exit routines. These consistent habits help set a positive tone for learning each session and demonstrate the commitment and respect our junior students bring to the classroom.

There is certainly no shortage of exciting opportunities ahead this term. Students will have the chance to represent the College in a range of interschool sport and leadership opportunities, while our Year 7 and 8 students will participate in engaging STEM incursions designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Year 9 students also have exciting author and podcasting events to look forward to, providing unique learning experiences beyond the classroom. They will also work with our Careers team to finalise their subject selections for the senior years in 2027.

It has also been wonderful to see our students continue to demonstrate our College values of Commitment, Excellence, Respect and Teamwork. Already this term, our Year 7–9 students have earned an incredible 1,012 Success Passes in recognition of the positive choices they make each day. How fantastic is that!

There is so much to look forward to throughout Term 3, and we are excited to see our students continue to challenge themselves, embrace new opportunities and strive for success. Thank you to our families for your continued partnership and support. Together, we look forward to another fantastic term of learning, growth and success for our Year 7 – 9 students.

Keep up the fantastic effort, everyone!
