Our VPC students have had a fantastic start to the term, with plenty of learning opportunities both in the classroom and out in the community.

In Numeracy, students have been using the Commonwealth Games to explore and interpret data, making maths more relevant and engaging through real-world examples.

Whilst our Literacy classes have been focused on persuasive texts, with students developing their skills and learning about ethos (credibility), pathos (emotion) and logos (facts and evidence).

In Work Related Skills, students have been learning about important employability skills that will help prepare them for future study and employment.

And in our Personal Development Skills classes, the focus has been on exploring and connecting with the local community.

Students have also been busy participating in our Wednesday Programs. Some are volunteering at the local Op Shop, gaining valuable workplace experience while giving back to the community. Others have been expressing their creativity through Art, while the FLO Tradies group has been working hard to improve the school's front garden.

A highlight so far was attending the Job Skills Expo at Lardner Park. Students had the chance to explore a range of TAFE courses, speak with industry representatives and learn more about potential career and employment pathways.

Our VPC students have started the Term so well, we are excited to see their journey for the rest of Term 3!
