Middle Group News

Our middle students have made a fantastic start to the term, beginning a Geography-focused unit that combines reading, writing and research skills in their literacy classes. Students have also explored different continents by reading informative texts and learning about countries, cultures, landmarks and natural environments.
As another unit for their literacy, our students begun developing their 'Dream Holiday Travel Itinerary' project, where they will research a destination of their choice and plan an exciting holiday. Throughout this project, they will strengthen their reading comprehension, research and informative writing skills by gathering information, organising their ideas and presenting their itinerary in a clear and engaging way.
Whilst in numeracy this term, our students have been developing their understanding of time through a range of engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
Our focus has been on reading and interpreting analogue clocks, converting between 12-hour and 24-hour time, and solving elapsed time problems in real-life contexts.
Students have used games, practical activities and problem-solving tasks to build confidence and accuracy while applying these skills to everyday situations.
We look forward to seeing your creativity and learning continue to grow throughout the term.
