Bridging Group News

Our Bridging group is growing, with more students joining our cohort. We are so excited to have you, we hope you build positive peer relationships and enjoy your classes!

Our students have settled into the new term with enthusiasm, starting a Geography-based literacy unit that integrates reading, writing and research skills. As part of their learning, students have been exploring a range of continents through informative texts, discovering different countries, cultures, famous landmarks and natural environments.

In addition to this, students have begun working on their 'Dream Holiday Travel Itinerary' project. This literacy task allows students to research a destination of their choice and design an exciting holiday itinerary. Throughout the project, they will continue to build their reading comprehension, research and informative writing skills by collecting information, organising their ideas and presenting their itinerary in a clear and engaging format.

Whilst our numeracy lessons this termm have focused on building students' understanding of time through a variety of interactive and practical learning activities.

Students have been learning how to read and interpret analogue clocks, convert between 12-hour and 24-hour time, and calculate elapsed time using real-world scenarios.

These concepts have been reinforced through engaging games, hands-on tasks and problem-solving activities, allowing students to develop both confidence and accuracy while applying their learning to everyday situations.

We are excited to your their confidence, creativity and knowledge continue to develop as you progress through the term.
