Modelling and Sculpting

This term our Prep - Grade 5 students are creating 3d Clay Mobiles.  They will begin the process with a practice week using playdough, giving them an opportunity to experiment and plan details. Each mobile will use a variety of clay techniques including slab, pinch and impressing.  Students will then use mixed mediums to add additional features.

Collage

Students in Prep - Grade 3 will be creating a mixed media collage to produce an image based on illustrator Jeannie Baker.  Students will use a variety of materials to add details and layers.

Grade 6 Surfboards

Grade 6 students will be involved in a term-long unit based on Street Art.  They will learn about the difference between street art and graffiti.  Students will then design a font to be used on their surfboards.  These creations will be displayed at the Grade 6 Graduation at the end of term 4.
