On Tuesday 7 October, our 2025 College Captains proudly planted a commemorative tree on behalf of the Year 12 cohort. A school tradition which began in 2017, and which continues to symbolise their legacy and connection to our school community.
We extend our sincere thanks to Bunnings Ringwood for their generous donation of an ornamental pear tree. Their ongoing support helps us honour this tradition and celebrate our graduating students in a lasting and visible way.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. Your contributions have left a mark, and your tree will stand as a reminder of your journey and achievements.

On Monday 20 October, our staff were up bright and early to cook breakfast for all of our Year 12 students. The bacon and egg rolls were then followed by the final assembly, which allowed the whole school community to come together to reminisce and reflect on their years here at Norwood. A highlight of the assembly was the Year 12 video produced by Jade W and Shaye M, and the performance of 'Rise Up' by Jessica M.
The evening culminated in a memorable Valedictory Dinner at the Karralyka Centre, where we proudly presented our students with their Graduation Certificates. It was a night filled with joy, pride, and celebration and the radiant smiles of our students spoke volumes about their achievements. The event also provided an opportunity to acknowledge outstanding academic performance and dedicated contributions to our school community.
Thank you to Mr Chris Sheehan (Head of Year 12), Mrs Leisa Beggs (Year 12 Coordinator), and Mrs Tina Danisch for their unwavering support of our Year 12 students and for their planning and coordination of these significant events.

This is the time to stay focused and give it your best. Set clear study goals, stick to your plan, and make a time to meet with your teachers for feedback and support. They’re here to help you succeed! Don’t forget that the school is open and available as a quiet, productive space for study, away from distractions. And if you’re looking for extra motivation or practical advice, check out the Captains’ Corner page for helpful tips and tricks from Shaye M to keep you on track.
As you continue preparing for exams and begin to look ahead to life beyond school, I want to take a moment to celebrate everything you’ve achieved. Your hard work, resilience, and growth over the years has made us incredibly proud. You’ve contributed to our school community in countless ways through your leadership, friendships, and commitment to learning and you leave behind a legacy that will inspire others.
I wish you every success and happiness in the journey ahead. Thank you for being a part of the Norwood story. Go forward with confidence, and know that you have the strength and character to build a bright future.
Congratulations and farewell, class of 2025!
