Gymnastics Success for Meg and Sophia
Congratulations to Meg Stewart (Year 9) and Sophia Choi (Year 3) on their outstanding performances at the recent Gymnastics Tasmania Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Junior State Championships, held on 19–20 September.
Meg produced an exceptional performance in the Level 5 Age Group 13+ years category, taking out 1st place on Uneven Bars, Beam and Floor, as well as 3rd on Vault. Her impressive results saw her claim 1st All Around, earning her the title of WAG Level 5 Junior State Champion 2026.
Sophia also enjoyed a fantastic championship, competing in the Level 5 Under 11s category. She placed 1st on Beam, 2nd on Floor and 4th on Uneven Bars, finishing with an impressive 2nd All Around.
These results are a wonderful recognition of the skill, commitment and perseverance both girls have demonstrated in their gymnastics. Congratulations, Meg and Sophia!
Double State Selection for Kiana
Congratulations to Year 7 student Kiana Bibari on her fantastic achievement of being selected for both the State Soccer and State Futsal teams.
Kiana will travel interstate to compete in a tournament at the home of the Matildas, representing Tasmania and an opportunity to showcase her skills on a national stage.

Cariad Celebrates Young Writers Success
Congratulations to Cariad Lewis (Year 9) who was awarded runner up in the junior section of the Young Tasmanian Writers prize, with her short story Rockpool Dreamer.
Cariad was presented with her prize at a ceremony at Hobart Town Hall by Lord Mayor Anna Reynolds, and Tim Jarvis, owner of Fullers Bookshop.
Layla Excels in Japanese Speech Contest
Congratulations to Year 6 student Layla Cranefield on her fantastic achievement in the 2026 JATNET Japanese Speech Contest.
Layla was awarded second place statewide in the Grade 6 division, a wonderful recognition of her Japanese language skills, confidence and preparation.
As a second-place winner, Layla has been invited to a special reception at Government House in November, where she will receive her certificate from the Governor, Her Excellency the Honourable Caroline Wells.
