KAPS is on - This Sunday!

Have you ever wondered what kind of things happen at the SPIN and JC Life camps? Would you like to experience a ‘taste’? If so, come along to KAPS for some fun and (camp) games! Join us this Sunday, 20th September, from 4pm to 6:30pm for games, worship and a meal. We would love to catch up with you. Think about who you might like to invite. See you Sunday!

Donate to the Nepal Flood Disaster

The community of Good Shepherd is represented by many people of different backgrounds. We come together in faith, we come together in love, and now we come together during an extremely difficult time.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School holds the people of Nepal and their families in our prayers, including those who are part of our school community. Australian Lutheran World Service have always supported the people of Nepal and now, your emergency donation in this time of need will help provide the aid needed most urgently in Nepal’s hardest-hit areas.

Operation Christmas Child

There are many wonderful opportunites around where we can show love and care to people in need of support. In fact, over the next few months, more opportunities will be presented. Here is just one of them... Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is participating in ‘Operation Christmas Child’!

This offers us the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas through the gift of a shoe box containing gifts for children overseas who normally would not receive anything at Christmas. The children are also offered the opportunity to participate in a series of lessons introducing them to the good news of the gospel.

Have a chat as a family, and if you are interested, either see Georgie or pick up a box and pamphlet in the Church café. Once filled, please return to Georgie or the church office during opening hours with $12.50 enclosed (or paid on-line) to cover the cost of transport and course materials. Boxes need to be returned no later than Wednesday October 14th (Week One of next term) Any questions, please email Georgie or have a chat!

Whew... What a term! How are you going? Is there some way that we can support you? Come and join us for a cuppa and a chat!

Where? The Church Café

When? From 8:30am (Just come through the courtyard.)

Stay for 10 minutes or until 10am! It can be comforting and encouraging to hear each other’s stories. Toddlers are welcome! (We have a small playground. You just need to keep an eye on your little one(s) for safety reasons.) I look forward to seeing you soon!

ONE DAY Kids Conference

Hi Good Shepherd Families,

It’s Renee from Futures Church Paradise. We’re just down the road and would love to invite you to our ONE DAY Kids Conference these school holidays!

We’re inviting children from local schools and churches to come together for an action-packed Christian conference filled with rides, games, live shows, music, worship and an encouraging message about Jesus. Kids are welcome to bring their friends too!

🎮Reception–Year 2 Wednesday 30 September | 9:00am–3:00pm

🎮Years 3–6 Thursday 1 October | 9:00am–3:00pm

💛A special invitation for families with children with additional needs

We’re also hosting Champions Day, created especially for primary-aged children with additional needs and their whole family.

📅 Wednesday 30 September

⏰ 10:00am–1:00pm

🎟️ $20 per family pass, including a free ONE DAY ticket for siblings

The day will include sensory activities, food, carnival fun, a quiet sensory space, music, an encouraging faith-based message and a professional illusionist show. A parent, caregiver or trusted family member will need to stay with their child.
