What a Wednesday!!

While there are many things to celebrate this past fortnight yesterday was amazing.

Faith

It was a privilege to hear a past student share her faith journey in Chapel and to hear the impact that Jesus has on her life.  

Sharing of Learning

I supported the Stage 4 enterprise businesses along with students and families by purchasing items and consuming some yummy food.  A wonderful display of the children’s learning and work supported by the Stage 4 teachers and staff.

Welcome

I had the joy of onboarding our new Imagination OSHC Director Mrs Puspa Vaitinadin and also a new educator Cayla Thompson as another member of the team.  Puspa and Cayla bring a wide range of experience to our Imagination OSHC team. I thank Alysha for leading the team during the vacancy.

Reading and Connection

Walking through the library during lunch it was a joy to see children in small groups reading to one another and making connections with one another. 

Celebration

I concluded my day with our school leaders in The Den.  I am proud of the work that this team, the teachers, administration and support staff do each day to care for and educate the children here at Good Shepherd. I know that there are hard days and hard moments, but the blessings I see each day are worthy of celebration.

Farewell

At our closing service next Friday we will be farewelling Miss Keyta Millard who has made the decision to conclude her time at Good Shepherd Lutheran School.  While we are saddened to farewell Miss Millard she has been a valued member of our teaching team, and we thank her for the care, commitment, and passion she has brought to her work. Ms Bec Ingham will take over as the 2M classroom teacher for the remainder of the 2026 school year. 

We will be farewelling Miss Millard at the closing service of Term 3, Friday the 25th September at 8:50am.
