Ministry

This week in Chapel, we loved seeing two of our students step up and lead a game, using their gifts and confidently taking ownership in front of their peers. As a Ministry Team, these are the moments we love to see, students being empowered to lead, contribute and use the gifts God has given them.

We also had one of our students share a message about moving from destruction to rebuilding, continuing our Term theme of Construction. Throughout the term, we have been exploring what it means to build strong relationships, use our God-given gifts and grow in our relationship with God. This week, we looked at the other side of construction: destruction.

We all experience moments when things don’t go according to plan. Mistakes, difficult circumstances and broken relationships can leave us feeling overwhelmed or as though our lives are in ruins. Through the story of Nehemiah, students were encouraged to see that destruction does not have to be the end of the story.

When Nehemiah saw Jerusalem’s walls destroyed, he turned to God in prayer and trusted Him to lead the rebuilding process. 

In the same way, Jesus meets us in our brokenness, offering grace, hope and the strength to take the next step.

As we continue our construction theme, we are reminded that God can rebuild what feels broken and bring hope into places that feel like ruins.
