Regional T20 Cricket Championships – Mooroopna Oval

Last Friday, our senior girls’ students proudly represented the school at the Regional T20 Cricket Championships held at Mooroopna Oval.

The girls’ team were unlucky to face the eventual overall winners in their very first match. Despite fighting hard and showing great determination, they went down by a considerable margin. However, this early setback did nothing to dampen their spirits. The team rallied brilliantly, returning to the field with confidence and securing two strong wins in their next matches.

These victories lifted the girls’ morale and earned them a place in the playoff for 5th and 6th position. In the final, the girls put on an impressive batting display but were extremely unlucky, losing a couple of late wickets that shifted the momentum. They backed this up with disciplined and focused bowling, keeping the match alive right to the end, eventually going down by only 8 runs.

A huge congratulations to the girls on a fantastic day of cricket. You represented the school with pride, teamwork, and resilience. Well done!
