Last Friday, our students preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, along with their families, gathered together for a beautiful celebration. It was truly special to witness the students take this important step in their faith journey, embracing God’s love and mercy with open hearts. The students participated beautifully throughout the celebration, confidently sharing the readings and presenting the gifts with reverence and pride.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms Collins for all her work in preparing the students for this sacrament. Her dedication and guidance ensured that they approached the experience with understanding, reflection, and reverence.

May this special experience continue to inspire our students and families to seek reconciliation, show kindness, and embrace God’s love in their daily lives.

Confirmation

Our Year 6 students are now preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. As part of this preparation, we look forward to welcoming Fr Madrey, Episcopal Vicar, next Thursday as he visits to meet with the students ahead of the Confirmation celebration on Wednesday 20th May at 6:00pm. Students have been working hard on their Saint projects and continuing to deepen their understanding of the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit as they prepare for this important sacrament. As part of their preparation journey, the Year 6 students will also attend Community Mass next Tuesday and celebrate Reconciliation afterwards, providing an opportunity for prayer and reflection ahead of Confirmation. A sincere thank you to Ms Newey and Mr Homer for their dedication and support throughout the students’ preparation journey.

As we continue through this special season in the Church, we also look ahead to Pentecost Sunday, when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples. Pentecost reminds us that the Holy Spirit guides us with courage, wisdom, and faith, and calls us to share God’s love with others in our everyday lives.

As we journey with our Year 6 students toward the Sacrament of Confirmation, we encourage families to support their children through prayer, conversation, and reflection at home. Taking time to talk with your child about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how they can live out their faith in everyday life can be a meaningful part of their preparation.

🕊️ Sacrament Resource for Families:

The Archdiocese of Melbourne has developed a helpful website for parents and families preparing for the sacraments:

This site includes information about Confirmation, suggestions for prayer, and ideas to help deepen your family’s faith journey at home.
