Term 2, Week 2
We hope that you all had a restful break and stayed safe.
In our Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops this term we will centre around narrative and persuasive writing pieces with some fabulous mentor texts ‘The Little Refugee’ by Anh Do to complement our Inquiry project about Migration.
In Mathematics, students will strengthen their multiplication and division strategies, build their understanding of place value and decimals, and apply these skills to real-world problem-solving.
They will also explore area, perimeter, transformations, and data, while focusing on explaining their thinking and using efficient strategies.
In our Inquiry unit starting Week 4 we will be learning about the history of Migration through artefacts. Focusing on who were the people who came to Australia? why did they come? How has Australia been shaped by immigration? And why are immigration stories important?
