Principal's Report
Welcome back to Term 2. I hope all our families had a great Easter and a restful school holiday break. While the students were away, we had some minor works completed around the grounds, including a fresh repaint of the administration building, the installation of a new school sign, and fresh mulch laid across the playgrounds. It is fantastic to see the students back on site, and we are looking forward to a great Term 2 ahead.
Open Week (and Night)
We are looking forward to opening our classrooms and welcoming families into the school for Open Week. Communication will be sent out shortly outlining exactly when classrooms will be open for visits. In addition to this, our Open Night for current parents and students will be held on Thursday 14th May from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Please stay tuned for further details as we get closer to the events.
Foundation 2027 - Thursday 14th May 4.30pm
Open Night for prospective Foundation families will take place on Thursday 14th May at 4:30 pm in our Multi-purpose room. Families with children starting school in 2027 who are currently looking at their options are very welcome to attend. The evening will feature performances from our Symphonic Band and our Foundation team. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing some refreshments at the end. School Tours and Enrolments
We are excited to be able to accept enrolments for 2026 students. Applications for Prep enrolments are done via the website - VicStudents.
For new enrolments:
- Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 31st July 2026.

School tours will continue throughout the term, and we look forward to welcoming prospective families into the school. Everyone is welcome, so if you have friends or family who are considering Blackburn Primary School for their children, please encourage them to book a tour via our website.
