WELCOME BACK TO TERM 2

Now that we have learnt the 42 Jolly phonics sounds, we have started our term with a big push to learn the names of the alphabet and recognising the capital letters. The Preps loved making their own "Alphabet Rap" music video that we now watch every morning.

 We are now writing in simple sentences in a new lined writing book. A simple sentence includes a noun (what) and a verb (doing) eg "The dog is jumping." 

We have been aiming for a 5 star sentence, that includes:

• Capital letter
• Full stop
• finger spaces
• neat writing using the lines
• re-read to make sense

The Preps were very excited to run with their buddies for the FUN RUN. Thanks for helping with the schools fundraising efforts.
