SUSTAINABILITY NEWS

The Gardening Club and  some Yr 5/6FA students were very busy in the gardens today! We planted silverbeet and carrots, in preparation for winter harvesting.

We have been talking about how we can use parts of vegetables we may not have before. Carrot leaves are actually delicious in pesto! As promised to the students, please see recipe below. I'd love to hear if you try it!

ORDER YOUR FRUIT AND VEGETABLE BOXES

A reminder about the fabulous Feed our School program, where you  can order your weekly fruit and vegetables, and have them delivered straight to our school for you to collect on Tuesdays! You will also save up to 30%!

See the flyer in the newsletter or Seesaw for more information.

Our school gets $5 for each box sold.

NUDE FOOD DAY - MONDAYS

We ask students to choose foods which create no rubbish to bring for lunch on this day. Some great ideas can be found at https://www.nudefoodday.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/HOW-TO-PACK-A-NUDE-FOOD-LUNCH.pdf

Have a great week everyone! Thanks for your great efforts in helping us live in a way that is kinder to our environment!
