Prayer  for the end of our school term

We thank you Lord, for this term.

For our challenges, our successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt. Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.

Give us strength and courage to do what is right:

to be witnesses of our faith.

Amen

Dear Families,

What a wonderful term we have had!

It's hard to believe we are one term down in 2024 but as we look back over the school calendar it is easy to see why it feels like the term has flown past so quickly. Every week seemed as busy as ever with much learning, celebrations and activities taking place from start to finish.

I thank you all as parents for all your support and hard work you have given to ensure our children are here each day ready for school and eager to learn.  I know that for many families the school holidays can be a challenge, especially when both parents are working, however, we also know that our children definitely need a break to re-energise for the next term to come. I hope that the holidays also enable families to have a little more time together without the rushing around that can happen during the term.

Of course these holidays do begin on Holy Thursday and for many of our families this will mean celebrating Easter together. Yesterday Mr Ru and our Year 4s presented a prayerful reflection on our Easter Journey which began on Ash Wednesday. We will gather as a school next term to acknowledge and celebrate Easter Sunday and our risen Lord.

There were of course a number of highlights this term and I think back to our Family Welcome Evening, our new Prep families joining us and of course most recently our incredibly successful 100 Year Celebration. Our team of staff, students and parent helpers under the leadership of our P&F President Jenny put in an amazing event. Special thanks to Issey for his wonderful photos, how lucky are we to have this talented person in our school. I have included below a photographic reflection of the day.

Staff Update

Next term we will be adding to our already amazing support staff and have employed Ms Frankie who will be joining our LSO team. We are also waiting on confirmation and have our fingers crossed that Ms Alex will be returning to Trinity to take over the Visual Arts role. Alex is a highly qualified artist with a great passion for the Visual Arts and is extremely excited about this opportunity.

P&F New President required

Once again I would like to thank Jenny our P&F President for her five years of dedication to our school community. Whilst I am sure this is a very rewarding role there comes a time when there is an opportunity for someone else to take over the role. I am sure that Jenny will be more than willing to support and assist anyone who would like to take on this very important role.  I know the role may seem a little daunting, however, whoever takes this on will have great support from Mr Ru, myself and many other parents. I am happy to talk to anyone in the community... Mums, Dads Grandparents and other family members who feel they would like to know more ... please come and see me or send me an email.

Closure Days

A reminder again that there will be a school closure day on Monday 15th April and Friday 26th April to enable our staff to work on our school review. School will begin on Tuesday 16th April for all students. If you require Day CAr on one of both these day please let me know. We have engaged Extend to provide this service and I will share a link once I have received it from them. Parents can then book directly.
