Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time for prayer, almsgiving and fasting. Last Wednesday our students participated in a special liturgy in our parish church to acknowledge and prayerfully reflect upon this very important time in our church’s calendar. Our students were marked on the forehead with a cross made of ashes, created from burnt palm leaves from Palm Sunday last year. During Lent, we journey towards the joy of Easter by taking time to reflect and pray. We hold dear to our hearts those who are in particular need of love and support.
