Sports Report

Wow, what a great term for Sport at Glenroy College. We have had a number of students represent us in a variety of sports along with a very successful Athletics Carnival.

Congratulations to Joanne Pampanella and Michael Stevens for running such a successful day. 

Inter School Sports

Year 7, 8, Intermediate and Senior Boys participated in Football and Soccer. Year 7 Girls made a debut on the Netball Court. A massive shout out to all of the teachers who stepped up to coach all of the sports this term. There will be plenty of opportunity with Volleyball, Futsal and Basketball for Term 3 so make sure you don’t miss out!

Year 7 Girls Gym Program

Every Tuesday Mr Turda & I have taken the Year 7 Girls out to Oak Park Leisure Centre where they have been exposed to different group fitness classes. They have tried some circuits, cycle class and even Zumba. The girls have had an awesome time experiencing new fitness classes and hopefully a new love for fitness!

Senior Boys Futsal

On Thursday the 30th of May, the Senior Boys had the opportunity to participate in the West Victoria School Titles at Victoria University. The boys had a great time playing Futsal against other schools in the west. Congratulations to Meaz Saleh & Waile Omer of Year 12 on being selected to try out for the National Team that will play in Brisbane in September 2024. 

Thank you for a great Term and we are looking forward to more sporting opportunities in Term 3.
