Archbishop’s Award

This award recognises the outstanding achievements of young men and women in Catholic Schools. This is a prestigious award given by the Archbishop of Sydney to one Year 12 student from every Sydney Catholic High school.

 

The College nominated the following outstanding students

  • Arianna Chu
  • Caitlin Hughes
  • Claire O’Connor

The students within 100 words highlight their positive contributions to the school and their parish communities which is then endorsed by Mr Mahoney and a parish priest. 

 

The outstanding recipient of this award for 2024 is Arianna Chu. Arianna will be presented this award at St Mary’s Cathedral on Friday, 23 August 2024.

Pyjama Day and Blanket Collection

Date: Wednesday, 28  August 

 

Mufti: Pyjamas

 

Students are invited to bring in blankets, beanies, scarfs or socks to support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Sleepout. 

 

 

St Aloysius Senior Winter Sleepout

Purpose 

To provide an opportunity for students to experience sleeping rough as many homeless people do and to encourage students to fundraise for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.

 

Date: Friday, 30 August

 

Time: 7pm Friday - 8am Saturday

 

What to bring: yoga mat, sleeping bag, pillow, cardboard/newspaper, water bottle and donations to help pack snack packs 

 

Venue: At school - school hall/ hospitality classroom/ playground

 

Attendees:  Open to Yr 11 and Yr 12 students / staff at St Aloysius College

 

 

Anything But A Bag

Students are encouraged to bring their school items and lunch in anything but a bag. 

 

This day is to support St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. 

 

Cost: Gold Coin donation
