Principal's Report

Farewell, Mrs Craig!
Mrs Craig has been successful in securing a position at the Department of Education's Regional Office. Mrs Craig's last day at Spring Gully Primary School will be tomorrow. While this is a significant loss for our school community, it is a wonderful career opportunity for Mrs Craig, and I would like to congratulate her and wish her every success in this important new role.
To replace Mrs Craig, we have appointed Mrs Penny Gamble and Ms Brooke Ingram. Mrs Gamble will teach the class from Monday to Wednesday, while Ms Ingram will teach on Thursdays and Fridays. Both teachers are very familiar with our school, our teaching and learning approaches, and many of our students.
To support a smooth transition, Mrs Gamble and Ms Ingram have spent time with Mrs Craig and the students during the week. They were also part of the Grade 1/2 planning day held recently.
We are confident that Mrs Gamble and Ms Ingram will continue the excellent work that Mrs Craig has undertaken and provide a supportive and engaging learning environment for all students.
Welcome, Mrs Eaton!
We have recently completed the recruitment process for our new Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPS) Mental Health Leader position, following the departure of Mrs Todeschini from the role.
I am pleased to announce that Mrs Shelley Eaton has been appointed as the successful applicant. Mrs Eaton is currently a Team Leader at Specimen Hill Primary School and is excited to be joining the Spring Gully Primary School community.
To support a smooth transition into both the school and the role, Mrs Todeschini will spend the first Wednesday of Term 1 working alongside Mrs Eaton as part of a structured handover process.
I am confident that Mrs Eaton will be a wonderful addition to our team and look forward to the positive contribution she will make to the wellbeing of our students, staff and families. I know our school community will make her feel very welcome at SGPS.
