General News
Our recent Travel Expo was a great success. Students showcased their learning from our Topic unit, sharing fascinating information about the geography, culture, landmarks, food, and traditions of countries across Asia. We were impressed by the effort, creativity, and confidence students demonstrated while presenting their research to our grade 3/4 visitors. The Expo also made us teachers want to retire and head to the Maldives and other wonderful Asian countries.
Congratulations to the students who represented our school at the District Athletics competition. We are incredibly proud of your determination and effort. Thank you for representing our school so positively and giving your best in each event.
New Discoveries
As we arrive at the end of the semester, students are finishing their Mathematics unit on multiplication and division, where they have been developing efficient strategies for solving increasingly complex problems. In Literacy, students are finishing their Poetryunit, exploring a range of poetic forms and language features while creating their own original pieces.
Our STEAM units have also provided engaging learning opportunities, with Grade 5 students developing their problem-solving and thinking skills through Coding, while Grade 6 students investigated sustainability and environmental science through their Worm Farms project.
Happy Holidays,
The Grade 5/6 Team
