Principal's Message

Dear Community,
As we move towards the end of Term 2, it has been wonderful to take time to reflect on and celebrate the many achievements, experiences and moments of growth our students have enjoyed throughout the semester.
Our Grade 5/6 Fun Day was a fantastic success and a wonderful way to celebrate brave and smart thinking. The children had an absolute blast participating in the activities, demonstrating great teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day.
On Wednesday morning, our whole school participated in Refugee Week rotations. These meaningful activities provided students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of the experiences of refugees and to reflect on the values of compassion, inclusion and respect that are so important within our Catholic community.
In the afternoon, students enjoyed our Stormbirds Celebration, recognising the many accomplishments and positive contributions made by members of our school community. These opportunities to celebrate together are an important part of school life and help us acknowledge the growth and achievements that occur throughout the year.
A special thank you goes to Mrs Cotter for her organisation of these wonderful events. Her dedication and hard work ensured that our students experienced meaningful opportunities for learning, reflection and celebration.
This week, we were also delighted to welcome Gemma to our school community. It has been a highly productive week of handover, sharing ideas and consolidating our vision for the upcoming semester. There are some very exciting initiatives in the works, and we look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months.
Gemma would love the opportunity to meet members of our school community. Parents and carers are warmly invited to join her for a cuppa and a chat at 9:30am on either Friday 19 June or Thursday 25 June. We encourage you to come along and introduce yourself.
As a reminder, the final day of Term 2 will be Friday 26 June. Students will be dismissed at 2:30pm.
We have also advertised our upcoming School Tours for Term 3. Please see the attached flyer for further details and feel free to share this information with family and friends who may be interested in joining our wonderful school community.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a positive and productive finish to the term.
