Quest Retreat

Last Friday our Yr 8 cohort participated in the Quest Retreat. Friday commenced with a beautiful Mass in our College Chapel celebrated by Fra Oscar. From here the Yr 8's were in small groups completing a variety of faith-based activities lead by our Yr 11 Peer Ministers. Our Yr 12 Cadre leaders assisted in both the pretraining and preparations before and on the day. We were also blessed to have over 60 young ladies from Yr 11 from Mercedes College who discussed respectful friendships.

One of the main features of Quest Retreat is the can collection. The Yr 8's and families did a fantastic job in collecting can food which was then forwarded to St Vinnies & Shopfront who are in dire need of such supplies to assist those who are doing it tough. The response to this was phenomenal with what might be a record number of cans collected. A special thank you to Mr Le Tessier who coordinated this significant event in our College calendar.

Year 7 Mass

On Tuesday the Year 7 cohort came together to celebrate their first year group Mass for the year. It was pleasing to see a number of parents being able to join in this Celebration.

Fra Oscar acknowledged Saint Patrick and his works in the course of the Mass while also explaining the significance of various components of the Mass to deepen our understanding . The next Year 7 Mass is scheduled for the 4th June as part of the Waterford Retreat experience.
