Kids Corner

The “Kids’ Corner” section of our school newsletter provides the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents or communicate something special.
This fortnight, some of our very talented Year 1 and Year 3 children would like to showcase their writing skills - I trust you enjoy reading them just as much as I did.
Can you please get more fish? By Mary and Dhiana
Dear Mr. Catalano
Can we please get more fish for Pinki?
We are begging you, for more goldfish. Can you please get one and then the school can take care of them?
Thank you!
Ps. We will purchase some new goldfish, however the current one has been in the tank for approximately 12 years, placing new (smaller) fish in the tank will cause some issues for the newer fish.

The Passenger Jet That Lost Control – by Nithish
A bowing 747 took off from New Jersey international airport, for a 3 hour flight to India. After the plane left it did not come back so air traffic control looked up the plane on the computer, and …….. no signal.
Suddenly, air traffic control saw the plane on the signal. It was so weird, and it landed at the airport.
Next, after refuelling, it took off again, this time some military jets found it. They escorted it back to the airport, but there were no pilots or passengers on board!

The Rise and the fall of the Concorde by Savik
The flight engineer was keeping an eye on fuel consumption, by the time they were on the runway they had used the average amount of fuel a car would use in a month!
The person that was assisting them, was in the airport control tower when they hit top speed for take-off. However, they hit something and the tyre ripped! By the time the plane took off the plane engine was on fire the captain tried to land it at a nearby airport but ended up crashing into a hotel – causing a mushroom cloud.
The firefighters came to help tackle the fire and avoid an explosion. The fire investigators found the tire hit a part of a DC10 plane which caused all of this to happen!
