Dear Families,
What a fantastic fortnight we have had at St Peter's OSHC! Our children have been actively participating in a wide range of experiences that encouraged creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and imagination.
Three Little Pigs Team Challenge.🐖🐷🐖 Children worked together in small groups to build houses for the Three Little Pigs using different materials. They discussed ideas, solved problems and tested the strength of their creations while developing teamwork and communication skills.
French Knitting. Our children have shown wonderful patience and perseverance with their French knitting projects. Riya proudly completed her blue knitting and was excited to begin a new purple creation, inspiring other childrento have a go.
Nature Explorers. Children enjoyed exploring our outdoor environment during nature walks. They carefully observed trees, plants and animals before expressing their discoveries through creative drawings and discussions.
Giant Snakes and Ladders.🐍🪜 This oversized game was a favourite! Children practised turn-taking, counting and good sportsmanship while enjoying active play with their friends.
Paper Cup Spinning Tops. Children transformed recycled paper cups into colourful spinning tops. They decorated their creations before experimenting with different ways to spin them, discovering how small changes affected how fast and how long they spun. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, problem-solving and an appreciation for reusing everyday materials in fun and imaginative ways.
Board Games and Strategy. Chess, puzzles and other tabletop games encouraged children to think strategically, solve problems and work cooperatively with their peers.
Outdoor Play. Daily outdoor play included group games, active challenges and free play, giving children opportunities to stay active, build friendships and develop teamwork.
🪄Upcoming Event – Magic Day🪄
Get ready for an afternoon of wonder and imagination! On Wednesday, 5 August, we'll be celebrating Magic Day with a variety of fun magic-themed experiences, creative crafts and interactive games. Children will have the opportunity to explore, create and discover that the greatest magic comes from imagination,curiosity and working together.🪄

On Wednesday, 29 July, we celebrate Educator's Day, a special opportunity to recognise the incredible work of educators who inspire, nurture and support children every day.
At St Peter's OSHC, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated OSHC educators for creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn, play and grow.
We would also like to acknowledge the many parents and family members in our community who are educators. Your commitment, whether in early learning services, schools or other educational settings, makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children every day. Happy Educator's Day! Thank you for your passion, kindness and dedication to helping children reach their full potential. We appreciate everything you do, both in our OSHC community and beyond.
