Parent and Carer Conference
The Council of Catholic School Parents (CCSP) Parent & Carer Conference, ’Supporting Families In a Modern World’ will be held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, bringing together parents and carers for a day of learning, inspiration, and connection. The conference will feature a range of expert speakers, including Danielle Cronin, Executive Director of Sydney Catholic Schools, who will share insights on supporting student learning and wellbeing.
Supported by Sydney Catholic Schools, the conference features a range of expert speakers and will cover a range of topics such as respectful relationships, cybersafety, resilience, managing anxiety, Artificial Intelligence, screen use, brain development and supporting children's learning at home and at school.
More than just a conference, this is an opportunity for parents and carers to connect, share experiences and gain valuable insights while building stronger connections with their school communities in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Book Week 2026
Children’s Book Week is The CBCA’s key highlight national event of the year. This year’s celebration will run from Saturday 22nd to Saturday 29th August. The 2026 theme ‘Symphony of Stories’ is about many different stories, voices and characters coming together, like instruments in an orchestra, to create one bigger, richer whole story.
School-Based Celebrations Include:
- Character Dress-Up Parade: Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character on Friday 28th August.
- Parents are invited at 9.15am for the parade and the 80 days of Reading raffle draw.
- Adventure Literacy based activities across Kindergarten to Year 6.
- Storytelling Sessions: Special guests, including authors and illustrators, will share their stories and creative journeys throughout the week.
- Book Fair: A curated selection of children’s books will be available for purchase on Friday 28th August.

We encourage all families to get involved and help us foster a love of reading in our students. Whether it’s dressing up, reading together or exploring new stories. Book Week is a chance to celebrate the joy and adventure that books bring into our lives.
Carline Disruptions
Over the coming weeks, carline traffic may be impacted by road works taking place on Burns Lane. At this stage, we anticipate that only some mornings may be affected.
During these times, left‑hand turns will not be permitted when exiting the school. All vehicles will be required to turn right, exiting via the lane that runs behind the Caringbah Hotel.
We will keep you informed and provide advance notice where possible of any changes to the direction of traffic.

Student Safety- Before and After School
As part of our commitment to student wellbeing and community safety, we kindly ask for your support in ensuring that students travel to school and home safely and respectfully each day.
Parents please be reminded that school supervision commences at 8.20am.
Please remind your child of the importance of:
- Using designated walking paths and pedestrian crossings/ not walking between cars
- Following safe practices when using public transport
- Heading straight home or to a supervised location after school hours
- Respecting private property and not entering areas that are not open to the public
By reinforcing these expectations, we help build a safer and more considerate environment for our students and the local community.
Bike Safety
As more students choose to ride to school, it’s important that we continue to promote strong bike safety habits and a culture of respect for others’ bikes within our school community.
Students are to be reminded of the following:
No touching others’ bikes — Bikes are personal property, and moving or handling someone else’s bike can cause damage or create safety issues.
Sharing space responsibly — Students should park neatly and avoid blocking or crowding other bikes.
Reporting concerns — If a bike appears damaged or unsafe, students should inform a teacher.
By reinforcing safe riding habits and respectful behaviour, we help ensure that every student who rides to school feels secure, supported, and valued.
Mindquest 2026
NSW Mindquest offers 35 exciting courses for High Potential and Gifted Students from years 1-6.
It is designed to enrich and extend children’s learning through a broad range of experiences that are one or two years beyond students’ year level and the scope of the general curriculum.
These highly successful, fun-filled weekends offer students the opportunity to meet other students of similar interests and abilities.
